Fridge Project Ideas

If you need help thinking of where to focus your efforts this week, here are a few suggestions:

1 - If you haven't already, stop using reused food containers as leftover containers.  Invest in a set of clear containers.

2 - Create a leftovers shelf in your fridge.  Now, you know where to pull from first.

3 - Buy a $1 notepad with a magnet on the back.  Stick it on your fridge to keep a running list of the items you run out of and need.  Knowing what you need will prevent you from buying duplicates when you are at the grocery store.  This prevents food clutter and waste.

4 - Have a once-a-week dinner where you make something from random items in your fridge.  This ensures you use up your leftovers before they rot. We also do Friday night snack suppers (when we aren't doing pizza).  Snack supper is a big, fun platter full of random items.  It could be raw veggies, a small leftovers bit, pickles, etc.  My kids love it!
